Resources and Development
The Resources and Development Unit provides information and access to alcohol and other drug (AOD) service resources to individuals and communities. We seek to improve quality and accessibility to services by supporting workforce, program, and systems development around the cycle of AOD care (Prevention, Intervention, Treatment, and Recovery Support Services).

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Clearinghouse and Lending Library - Informational resources on alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs; such as brochures, fact sheets, teaching and audio/visual tools.

Comprehensive Synar Plan - Preventing Youth Access To Tobacco (PYATT) - PYATT is a coordinated effort between the NH Bureau of Community Based Care Services, Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Services; the NH Liquor Commission, Division of Liquor Enforcement; the Division of Public Health Services/Tobacco Prevention and Control Program; and the NH National Guard to reduce the incidence of youth smoking through increased merchant surveillance and education, and increased community education.

The federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA)'s Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment block grant requires all states to have laws and activities in place to prevent the sales of cigarettes and other tobacco products to youth through enforcement and education efforts.

NH State Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup - The NH State Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup (SEOW) is a multidisciplinary working group with a mission to promote analytical thinking and methods in support of improved behavioral health in NH. To do this, the SEOW is tasked with increasing access to data and data products that address substance use and behavioral health issues to inform prevention and treatment efforts and broader policy in the state.

  • NH Resource Guide for Prevention and Treatment Services-Provides a listing of state-funded alcohol and drug abuse prevention and treatment programs and other resources related to alcohol and other drugs.
  • Drugfree NH-a New Hampshire Web site designed to help individuals, families, and communities to get informed, get involved and get help! You will find information on prevention efforts, effects of alcohol and other drugs, guidance on recovery and treatment, and links to programs in the Granite State.
  • NH Center for Excellence-A centralized resource center for best practices in alcohol and drug services in New Hampshire. This Web site provides practitioners and providers with tools, resources, training information, and data to support their practices.
